Food Plant Audits:

FAI can perform four types of audits. These include BRC, FAI Certified Supplier Audits, FAI Certified HACCP Verification Audits and the FPA-SAFE audit.

          1. BRC Global Standards Through its UK partner* FAI auditors are certified to perform the evaluation against the British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Standards.

* BRC audits are conducted under certification from National Britannia Certification, Ltd. (UK).

          2. FAI Certified Supplier Audits The FAI certified supplier audit is a broad based checklist that assesses:
                      Quality and Food Safety Management
                    •  HACCP Program
                    •  Plant: Construction, Grounds, Design
                    •  Personnel: Practices, Hygiene Support
                    •  Sanitary Control Programs
                    •  Process Controls
                    •  Foreign Material Control
                    •  Allergen Program
                    •  Laboratory Support
                    •  Food Defense

          3. FAI Certified HACCP Verification  FAI’s ASQ certified HACCP auditors can provide HACCP Plan Verification Audits (including assessment of affirmative steps for food products imported into the United States)

          4. Food Products Association (Supplier Audits for Food Excellence), FPA – SAFE As a member of the North America Food Safety Associates (NAFSA), FAI auditors are also certified to perform the comprehensive FPA-SAFE food plant audits.
